Thomas Dickinson (1636-1712)
Date of birth: 1636
Place of birth: Family records list Thomas Dickinson's birthplace as Watertown, Connecticut Colony (now Watertown, Litchfield County, Connecticut, United States of America). But it was not until 1684, nearly fifty years after Thomas Dickinson's birth, that Thomas Judd and thirty-five other proprietors bought the land from the local Paugasuck Indians. It is much more likely that Thomas was born in Watertown, Massachusetts Bay Colony, which begun in 1630 as Saltonstall Plantation.
